Asked directly whether becoming the historic benchmark purchase for the Rossoneri carries an extra emotional load, Ramos clarified where he feels the true responsibility of his role lies.
“Honestly, no, I don’t feel pressure for being the most expensive player,” Ramos told UEFA. “Of course there’s pressure, but I think that pressure comes from representing such a great club, with the pressure of winning titles for the club. I don’t think there’s greater pressure than that. There is no time to think about who’s the most expensive player, how much one player or another cost.”
