Flick Urges €50m Move for Stuttgart Star Jeltsch to Fix Defense
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is pushing his board to sign Stuttgart centre-back Finn Jeltsch in the January transfer window. Stuttgart value their defender at over €50 million, setting a steep price for a mid-season move.
The 20-year-old centre-back has broken through as a starter in the Bundesliga this season. He has earned widespread attention for his calm passing out of defense and composure under pressure.

Flick Seeks Ball-Playing Partner for Cubarsi
Flick views Jeltsch as the ideal long-term partner alongside Pau Cubarsi in central defense. Recent losses to PSG and Real Madrid highlighted defensive structure issues that the coaching staff wants to resolve quickly. Flick prioritizes the German defender specifically for his ability to build attacks cleanly from deep positions.

A fitness setback for Andreas Christensen has limited Barcelona’s natural central options this term. The back line has relied on Gerard Martin to fill gaps during crowded fixture runs. Adding Jeltsch would immediately strengthen the squad’s rotation ahead of the second half of the season.
Fifty-Million Price Tag Tests Camp Nou Budget
Stuttgart’s valuation of more than €50 million stands as a serious hurdle for Barcelona. The Catalan club operates under tight financial constraints, making a big-money transfer in January difficult without major roster adjustments.
