Late 3-3 Equalizer and Red Card Trigger Massimiliano Allegri Outburst
SSC Napoli head coach Massimiliano Allegri was sent off during second-half stoppage time of a 3-3 Serie A draw against AS Roma on October 24. Fourth official Saccani recommended the dismissal following Allegri’s vocal reaction to Leonardo Balerdi’s late equalizing header, which the Napoli bench maintained was preceded by an uncalled foul on defender Sam Beukema.
The match at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona saw Napoli take an early two-goal lead through Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa and Scott McTominay before Roma answered through Matias Soulé and Balerdi. McTominay restored the lead with a long-range strike prior to Balerdi’s final equalizing goal.

The disciplinary action threatens a touchline suspension for Allegri as Napoli face persistent defensive difficulties, having surrendered six goals across their last two fixtures in all competitions. Squad rotation faces additional pressure after defender Benoit Badiashile left the match in the second half with a muscular injury.
Napoli have secured one point from their past two Serie A matches and have not recorded consecutive wins in any competition this season.
