ICU Exit Forces Cagliari Lineup Shift Ahead of Parma Opener
Cagliari forward Yael Trepy has been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit at the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari as he continues a rapid recovery from a pool near-drowning incident. The 20-year-old was placed in an induced coma to clear fluid from his lungs following an accident over his weekend off, but has now been transferred for continued observation and treatment.
Cagliari Reshape Attacking Lineup Ahead of Serie A Kickoff
Trepy had been slated to lead the front line for the Sardinian side after starting in their Coppa Italia victory over Arezzo last week. Head coach Fabio Pisacane confirmed that either Daniele Maldini or Jacopo Fazzini will start in his place for the upcoming fixture.

“It has certainly not been an easy week,” said Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane in a press conference. “We had some terrible moments, but fortunately Yael woke up and it was the best news we could receive. He reminded us once again that life is the most important match of all. He would’ve been in the starting XI tomorrow, but obviously he can’t be with us now, so Daniele Maldini or Jacopo Fazzini can replace him.”
